The ATMOS mixing process explained
How do we record for Atmos?
Our team have established new live room methods, unique for spatial recording, and applied them with compelling results on exclusive projects for the likes of George Ezra and Beabadoobee. Our approach involves working closely with the Artist and their respective musical directors to carefully break down tracks into sections and then rebuild and re-record them from the ground-up in hybrid band tracking sessions.
Deploying high-resolution sets of microphone arrays and moving the music around the arrays, allows us to capture incredible immersive detail whilst giving Artists the creative freedom of space to develop their compositions.
In post, we produce detailed sets of layered mixes, which are then translated into exclusive Atmos mixes, and are ready for release as exclusive content to sit alongside your stereo work on DSPs.
